Insurance Defense Litigation
A Metairie firm is seeking a young(ish) lawyer to handle general insurance defense litigation. 4-8 years is the target. The area of practice would be casualty, auto and general small cases with a few complex ones thrown in. The managing partner is a good lawyer and a friend. Nicest guy ever.
A North Shore firm seeks a young associate with experience handling worker’s compensation cases. The lawyer should expect other cases as well but the majority of the cases are comp. I have been in touch with the office manager who is very kind and wants lawyers to succeed. They would also consider a Worker's Comp lawyer for the Metairie office.
Insurance Defense Litigation in Baton Rouge
I am working with TWO law firms in Baton Rouge. Both are inundated with work and need help. Once would involve a lot of general insurance defense litigation, some coverage, and auto whereas the other firm needs someone to handle general litigation including construction, med mal, some Comp, and commercial litigation. Both are about the same size and are thriving right now.
Multi-Party, complex defense litigation.
A prestigious New Orleans firm is looking for a young associate with 3-5 years of experience to work on complex cases with some insurance coverage and construction involved. This firm only hires the top ten percent of the class so yes, sadly, it's a restrictive. I'm just the messenger here.
Downtown New Orleans plaintiff's firm
I love this firm. They are new, young, hip and technologically advanced. It's a great place to work There are only about 5 lawyers but it's growing. The firm has discovered a new niche practice which is heavily concentrated on hundreds of plaintiffs suing for property damages. The ideal lawyer would have 3-5 years of experience and start in a staff attorney role. Organizing post settlement documents, keeping the files updated, talking to insurance adjusters, talking to the clients, obtaining discovery, and also general litigation like pleadings, some motions, and depositions. They want a young lawyer and although the work would be initially more of a staff role, if the lawyer shows initiative and talent then that will lead to more hands on litigation.
An out of state firm with a brand new New Orleans office is seeking an attorney to handle a large asbestos litigation docket. No portable business is necessary but experience with deposing doctors, experts, and plaintiffs is.
New Orleans Insurance defense firm
I have placed two lawyers at a great firm downtown and then still need another one. This firm is mid-sized but stays under the radar. Meanwhile they are doing a bang up job by brining in more clients and providing top notch legal representation. The two managing partners are extraordinarily good lawyers with stellar reputations. But boy, do they work hard. This job would require someone with drive and initiative.
Metairie, LA firm
A well respected Metairie firm just hired a lawyer to do general insurance work but needs someone to help with Labor and Employment as well as auto. This is a good opportunity. The firm is well established and there are about two lawyers who really need help.
Mobile, Al labor law.
A very prestigious national labor firm needs a lawyer for Mobile. They would look at a young associate or a partner with some business. The firm has exceptionally good clients and there is room for growth with this position. They just need someone with L&E experience.
Virtual Firms: Excellent percentages of collections.
I am working with a national firm who is looking to build practice areas. It might sound a bit odd but the firm operates with an incredibly low overhead. Lawyers work from home but also collect 80 percent of what is brought in. Also, they collect a percentage of any other lawyer working on his or her files. The only problem is a 400k minimum book of business.
Houstoninsurance defense Litigation
A Louisiana firm with a Houston office is looking to hire a young associate with 2-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. Practice areas would include maritime, coverage, railroad litigation, trucking litigation, and longshore cases. Experience with insurance defense litigation is necessary.
A new large national firm opens New Orleans office.
A relatively new and modern firm to New Orleans is growing its practice areas. Already the firm has doubled in size and continues to grow. This is a large national firm which seeks to grow the practice areas. They would look at maritime litigation and ERISA litigation as target areas. Also, there is a chance to develop more business around the state from existing contacts. Transactional partners would be ideal.
